LH proclaimed best broadsheet in nationals

Lorma Highlights’ broadsheet issue was awarded first place in the 8^th Gawad Ernesto Rodriguez Jr, the search for the most outstanding student publication of the College Editors Guild of the Philippines during the 68^th National Students Press Convention and 34^th National Student Press Congress last May 23 to 27 at Camp Alano, Toril, Davao City

This is the second time that the student publication received a major award in the Nationals. Last year, Medium, the official magazine of LH, tied up with Ateneo de Manila’s magazine, Matanglawin. Since the past editorial board was not able to publish Medium last year, they have decided to enter the broadsheet in the major category instead.

Meanwhile, Saint Louis University’s White and Blue placed 2^nd in the same category followed by De La Salle-Dasmarinas’ Heraldo Filipino was awarded 3^rd place.

Renowned publisher of Philippine Daily Inquirer , Mr. Isagani Yambot, together with the Secretary General of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines and co-owner of the alternative online magazine, Bulatlat.com Ms. Rowena Carranza-Paraan, and former CEGP National President Ms. Ronalyn Olea, adjudged the Broadsheet category.

With this additional achievement, members of Lorma Highlights plan to release monthly and enhanced issues this school year to be more responsive to the needs and interests of the students.

Tuition fee increase!

Sa katatapos na student consultation, nagkaroon ng proposal na

itaas ang tuition fee natin ng mula 5 hanggang 8%..

mayroon ding proposal na dagdagan ang library fee ng 5% at ilan pang fees.

Valentines Day / Foundation Day

Ilang araw na lamang at Foundationa Day na. Nais lang po naming ipabatid na magkakaroon po ng (agin-agin)booth ang Haylayts kung saan irerelease po yung mga past issues (newsletter/broadsheet/SK vol 2. Magkakaroon pa rin po ng freedom wall gaya noong nakaraaang taon. Mayroon ding mga items at mga (pasabog na) pakulo ang publikasyon sa nalalapit na Foundation Day.

 Ipopost na lamang po namin ang mga updates ukol sa kung saan itatayo ang (agin-agin) booth ng Haylayts. Maraming salamat po sa inyong suporta.
